Aston Martin V12 Vantage 2022: a sonic delight and new images

The third generation of the magnificent Aston Martin V12 Vantage is getting closer, so the British brand has just released another preview, adding to the one it already shared at the beginning of the month, with a teaser video that, in addition to letting us enjoy the sublime melody of its 12-cylinder engine, lets us make out what the rear of the new model will look like.

Without a doubt, the fact that there are still models with this type of engine coming in today’s electrification landscape is great news for lovers of combustion engines and especially for those fortunate enough to afford them.

Its features

In terms of styling, the highly anticipated V12 Vantage will feature a fixed spoiler integrated into its sculpted rear silhouette and a diffuser that mirrors the shape of its long light signature, though arranged in an inverted position.

Thanks to images captured at the Nürburgring circuit on the model’s test unit, we can make out a larger grille, a redesigned bumper with aggressive lines, vertical air intakes to cool its brakes, and a prominent cooling vent on the bonnet in the style of those we already know from its predecessors.

The last of the saga

Until more details about the new V12 Vantage, due to debut in 2022, are revealed, we know that under its bonnet will be the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine identical to that of the new DB11 or DBS, though in this case it will produce around 650 CV and 700 Nm of maximum torque.

Paired with this powertrain, the new Vantage will feature an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with a limited-slip differential, capable of delivering acceleration and top speed figures on a par with what will be the last Vantage with a combustion heart.
