The luxurious British brand shows us the latest model developed in collaboration with the design firm Zagato, the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Concept. This is already the fifth collaboration between the two since they first joined forces in 1960 with the DB4 GT Zagato.

The car we see in the images, so attractive and with such a distinctly British look, will debut tomorrow at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, held this weekend on Lake Como, in Italy, very close to the Swiss border.

According to Aston Martin, the four previous collaborations, from the DB4 GT Zagato of 1960 to the V12 Vantage Zagato of 2011, have accentuated the key design aspects of Aston Martin by merging them with the sporty language of the Zagato house.

“There is no fifth bad one,” as the saying goes, and in aesthetic terms I completely agree. In this Concept model, the team of the British automotive brand, led by Marek Reichman, and the Zagato team, under Andrea Zagato, have worked hand in hand.

The body is built entirely in carbon fibre Its development took place at the headquarters of Aston Martin, in Gaydon (Great Britain). As in previous editions, the main idea is to imbue perfect design lines with a conceptual and avant-garde touch. The body is built entirely in carbon fibre, and the optical unit is again of new design with never-before-seen shapes and LED lighting.

The interior stands out for its red finishes in the upholstery and seats with the Z inscription, the visible carbon fibre details, and the luxury that always pervades a Aston Martin car, enhanced by the special edition made in collaboration with Zagato.

“The Vanquish Zagato Concept shows how the two companies can come together and push the definition of Aston Martin design,” says Marek Reichman.

Although the mechanics are not the most beautiful part of this car, we should know that its engine is a naturally aspirated V12 with no less than 600 horsepower. Power is not lacking, and surely stability is not either, but judge for yourselves whether the part that wins you over most lies in what our eyes perceive or in what hides under the bonnet.
