Audi A3 Sedan and S3 Sedan: official photos and data

The compact saloon segment is one of the segments that has gained the most attention in recent years, thanks to offers as varied as those from almost every brand. In the case of Audi, it will do so with the A3 Sedan, a four-door that is only slightly larger than the A3 Sportback, built on VAG’s well-known MQB platform, although it is 9 mm lower than its sibling.
The A3 will feature a spoiler integrated into the boot lid, while the light units, with their wide, flat cut, enhance the sense of horizontality, extending almost to the rear tailgate. On request, Audi equips them with LED technology, also offering full LED headlights.

For its launch in Germany and the rest of Europe, the Audi A3 Sedan is available with three new engines, which will later be joined by two new base engines. It will offer the 2.0 TDI with 150 hp, with consumption of 4.2 L/100 km. It will also include the 1.4 TFSI with 140 hp and the 1.8 TFSI with 180 hp. Depending on the engine, a six-speed manual gearbox or the S tronic dual-clutch gearbox is fitted.

The equipment previewed by Audi starts with the interior, with the MMI operating system featuring an electrically deploying screen. Its controller is located on the centre console. It will also include Audi connect, the brand’s connectivity solution. In terms of safety, it will offer knee airbags for the driver as an option, while a panoramic glass roof, comfort key, auxiliary heating, or the adaptive light system with xenon units will also be available.
The prices of the new A3 Sedan in Germany will be around 27,500 euros for the 1.4 TFSI 140 CV CoD version (Audi Cylinder on Demand).

Audi S3 Sedan
A few months after the launch of the A3 Sedan, Audi will present the flagship model of the range, the S3 Sedan. Its 2.0 TFSI engine produces 300 hp and develops 380 Nm of torque. Its performance will be an acceleration of 4.9 seconds with the S tronic gearbox, while with the manual gearbox it will be 5.3 seconds. Top speed will be electronically limited to 250 km/h.
At first glance, the most powerful model can be recognised by the modifications to the bumpers, the Singleframe grille, the air intakes, the exterior mirror housings, the sill panels, and the rear spoiler. The S3 Sedan’s cabin is equipped with sport seats (or optionally S sport seats), instruments with grey dials, and decorative trim in 3D black design.
