Audi RS Q3 and Audi RS Q3 Sportback, the four-ring SUV arrives more powerful than ever

The Audi RS Q3 and the Audi RS Q3 Sportback are already here and have arrived stronger than ever. 400 CV to impress everyone.

In one stroke, Audi has unveiled the new RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback. Starting under the hood, the crossovers run on a 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder engine that produces 400 CV and 480 Nm of peak torque. It is backed by a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive.

This setup allows the models to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h. Drivers who want to go even faster can request an option that raises the limit to 280 km/h.

Of course, the performance features don’t stop there, as the crossovers have been fitted with a sport suspension that lowers the ride height by 10 mm. Elsewhere, engineers installed a revised steering system and a high-performance braking system. The latter features six-piston calipers that grip ventilated and drilled steel discs measuring 375 mm at the front and 310 mm at the rear.

Buyers looking to raise the stakes can request an optional ceramic braking system featuring newly developed monobloc aluminium calipers and ceramic brake discs. These are slightly larger at the front at 380 mm, while the rear remains 310 mm steel discs.

Speaking of options, customers can request a RS plus sport suspension with Dynamic Chassis Control. It features active dampers that respond to current conditions within milliseconds.

On the design front, the crossovers have a prominent Singleframe grille featuring gloss black honeycomb inserts. The models also have an aggressive front bumper with large air intakes, angular accents and “boomerang-shaped blades”.

Moving further back, there are widened wheel arches and 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a unique rear spoiler and a massive dual exhaust system with oval tips. Finally, the crossovers have an RS-specific bumper with an integrated diffuser featuring horizontal blades in gloss black or matt aluminium.

The special styling continues into the cabin, as drivers sit behind a flat-bottomed steering wheel with new shift paddles. Other highlights include illuminated sill plates, gloss black details and Alcantara/leather seats with embossed RS lettering.

A range of options will be available, including Nappa leather seats with contrast stitching and honeycomb inserts. Customers can also choose from aluminium, anthracite, black, carbon or piano-finish trims.

In Europe, the RS Q3 and RS Q3 Sportback will be available to order in October and reach dealerships at the end of this year. German pricing starts at €63,500 for the RS Q3, while the Sportback starts at €65,000.
