Audi RS5, new data and prices for the 2012 range

Prices and new details on the 2012 Audi RS5, a model that has managed to renew itself both aesthetically and mechanically to stand up to all of its rivals

A few months ago, Audi surprised friends and foes alike with the long-awaited facelift of the beautiful Audi A5. This is why today we have to talk about the RS5, a model that is back in the spotlight thanks not only to its performance but also to the carefully considered changes made to its bodywork.

As you probably know, this vehicle is the perfect model to take on those beautiful Mercedes C Coupe AMG, BMW M3 and Lexus IS-F which, by the way, have either been recently unveiled or will be updated for 2012, something Audi knew very well, which is why its coupe, fitted with a V8 producing 450 hp, has done the same.

As you can see, the performance is also on par with its rivals and, thanks to elements such as the 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox and Quattro all-wheel drive, it is capable, among other things, of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h, which can be raised to 280 km/h if desired. Average consumption remains at 10.8 litres/100 km.

Curiously, the standard equipment, rather than being attractive, is once again the same as in the previous version, and although the aesthetic changes are more than notable, the price does increase by 600 euros, reaching 87,830 euros.
