Audi will equip the 143 hp 2.0 TDI engine in the A1

With the arrival of the Mini Cooper SD, the Audi A1 lineup lacked a powerful diesel engine, which was available in the Ibiza range, for example. Now, apparently, the A1 will receive the two-litre TDI unit that delivers 143 CV.
Until now, the most powerful diesel variant was the 1.6 TDI with 105 CV, a fairly capable engine but one that was barely enough to compete with the British manufacturer’s new range. Apparently, we will see this new A1 variant in person at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in just over a month.
