BMW Concept X7 iPerformance, a new way of interpreting luxury in SUVs
BMW surprises everyone attending Frankfurt with the BMW Concept X7 iPerformance, an SUV that combines luxury, exclusivity and sustainability for the environment

The Frankfurt Motor Show is already open and we are here to bring you all the news, including the luxurious and spectacular BMW Concept X7 iPerfomance, a prototype for now which, as has happened on other occasions, we were able to preview for you last week due to the leak that occurred online.
The BMW Concept X7 iPerfomance was created with the aim of reinterpreting the word luxury within the SAV segment, with imposing lines that are at all times characteristic of the Bavarian brand, and which also brings together a wide range of the finest materials, systems and technologies. The fact that the word iPerformance appears in its name tells us in advance that this is a model that will combine electric technology BMW eDrive with a petrol engine BMW TwinPower Turbo, thus achieving an SAV with a plug-in hybrid propulsion system.

Its exterior styling is spectacular, with an almost vertical front design typical of BMW, in which the characteristic kidney grilles are found, merging with the enormous front that undoubtedly conveys a sense of power thanks to its muscular shapes. The front light unit, with the blue X shapes inside that indicate it uses laser technology, has a narrow yet elongated form that shows a defiant gaze.
On the sides the sense of robustness continues thanks to the straight lines that extend to the rear, broken only by the chrome mouldings that blend perfectly into the bodywork, as well as the circular-cut wheel arches, beneath which sit 23-inch alloy wheels with a multi-spoke design. Finally, at the rear we find the same characteristics of power and elegance that the rest of the vehicle conveys, with a vertical design like the front and a rear light unit that continues to project defiance towards other vehicles.

The interior, like the exterior, is simply spectacular, with a clear and uncluttered design in which the signature of BMW is clearly identifiable, using high-quality materials. It is also very spacious, with ample room for the six occupants it can carry, leaving sufficient headroom despite being fitted with a panoramic roof. The upholstery is leather in dark olive bronze and Rauchweiss combinations, which in turn pairs perfectly with inserts of ash wood in a dark matt finish and aluminium in matt and polished finishes.
We will have to wait for the presentation by BMW to learn in detail all the technologies it will feature, but BMW has given us a preview of a 12.3-inch screen for the instrument cluster, followed alongside by the touchscreen for the infotainment system. Below this latter screen we find the gear selector, in an exclusive backlit crystal design in Silver Night colour, as well as the controls for the iDrive system. In addition, BMW also tells us that the second-row seats will be a continuation of the first, as passengers will be able to enjoy all the benefits of the infotainment system.

We only need to learn more specific details from BMW, but this BMW Concept X7 iPerformance, which previews what will be the production model, already leaves a very good impression from the outset. By the way, the definitive version will be unveiled next year.
