BMW i4, the electric saloon from the Bavarian brand that wants to lead
The German brand wants to stand out in the design and development of electric vehicles with two models it presented this week, and the BMW i4 is one of them.

The new electric saloon has just been presented, with which the Bavarian brand wants to position itself in that demanding and increasingly important market. Alongside the BMW iX, which aims to do the same in the SUV range, connectivity and the rational use of resources to reduce the vehicle’s environmental footprint are among the objectives in designing and manufacturing this model.
The BMW i4 sits in the 4 Series, but it marks its differences and makes it clear that it is an electric saloon with character. The main element that draws the eye is the imposing double kidney grille, which in this case features blue decorative elements that confirm its place in the electric range.

BMW i4 Performance
The brand wants to present several versions of this electric saloon, but at the presentation it limited itself to showing what will be the BMW i4 Performance M. This version will have a power output of 390 kW, a figure equivalent to 530 CV. The range of this model is estimated at 600 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, supported by the 80 kWh battery.

BMW i4
This battery will be capable of recharging up to 80% of its capacity in 35 minutes with a 150 kW fast charger. This battery will presumably be the same one fitted to the BMW iX, so it will share many of its characteristics. In terms of technology, this model will also feature the new BMW eDrive infotainment system, a preview of what will arrive in other future models and which lays the foundations for the brand’s plans.
Power, visual impact and a design intended to stand out against competitors such as the models from Tesla and the rest of the proposals from manufacturers around the world who are trying to position themselves in the premium electric saloon segment.
