BMW M4 ///M Heritage, a particularly colourful special edition
The BMW M4 ///M Heritage is a limited edition with two aims: to pay tribute to BMW’s M division and to bid farewell to the current generation of the M4

For any car enthusiast, seeing three lines in red, light blue and dark blue will quickly bring to mind the logo of BMW Motorsport, or BMW M as it is commonly known, a division of the brand created in 1972 to take the sportiness and performance of the German marque’s models to the highest level, giving us from then on models that have become icons of motorsport.
The colours of the BMW M logo were first applied to the BMW 3.0 CSL, which carried them through every circuit and event in which it competed, making them a hallmark that instantly identifies the brand’s pata negra models. BMW has wanted to pay tribute to the BMW Motorsport logo, and to do so will be treating us to a special edition for everyone, which will also be limited in units.

The model chosen to be part of this division is the BMW M4 with the Competition package, a decision we assume was not made at random, since BMW M is not celebrating any special anniversary, so we assume this limited edition BMW M4 ///M Heritage serves as a farewell to this model, which is approaching the end of its current generation, and as we have already told you, the new 4 Series is already finalising its tuning ahead of its worldwide debut.
The BMW M4 ///M Heritage will be produced in a total of just 750 units worldwide, and buyers can choose one of the three unique BMW M colours that will adorn its bodywork: Imola Red, Laguna Seca Blue and Velvet Blue. Being equipped with the Competition package, the exterior makes use of several carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) elements, such as the roof, on which the three characteristic lines appear.

The interior has also received modifications, with a exclusive selection of materials and colours at its heart: M sport seats specific to each model, upholstered in leather, which uses a colour combination in which one of the colours references the bodywork colour chosen. In addition, the interior CFRP elements also feature the three lines as on the exterior, along with several logos referencing this special edition and a plaque showing the unit number of each car.
Mechanically, with the Competition package, the BMW M4 ///M Heritage still delivers the 450 CV and 550 Nm of torque produced by its six-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology. Beyond this power increase, the Competition package also brings improvements to the suspension, differential and traction control, as well as adding styling details such as 20-inch forged alloy wheels and specific exhaust tailpipes.
