Perhaps one of those vehicles that, since time immemorial, made us dream thanks to its controversial styling for its era or performance more typical of other kinds of supercars, was without a doubt this BMW Nazca M12, a vehicle that can now be yours for the modest price of 1.1 million dollars (725,000 euros at current exchange rates)

Specifically, this exceptional BMW was created by designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, who was also responsible for another German marvel, the BMW M1, and was presented in 1991. It was a forerunner of other engineering masterpieces that were far more aggressive, such as the Nazca C2 of 1992 or the C2 Spider that arrived a year later.

As you can see, it’s no surprise that BMW ultimately did not dare to build this kind of vehicle, which was generating so much anticipation. Given the type of vehicles the German brand was presenting, and especially the direction this type of car would soon take, it would have meant breaking with a characteristic brand style, an idea that probably didn’t sit well at BMW.

Even so, as you can see, a fully functional prototype was built, equipped with a huge Alpina V12 engine of 5.7 liters, a unit capable of producing a staggering 379 hp, something brutal for the time. So much so that the aforementioned engine will surely sound familiar, since we could describe it as a close cousin of the one fitted to the McLaren F1, no less.

So, if you want, and above all if you can afford to have a unique car in your garage, this may be one of the most attractive options today, since the BMW Nazca M12 is currently for sale at a dealership in the Czech Republic looking for an owner who will enjoy it and, above all, truly want it.
