The Ford European Focus will offer onboard Wi-Fi in 2012

One of the new features introduced with the new Ford Focus is the SYNC system, a system that controls all of the vehicle’s entertainment and controls, from improved voice control of the car’s functions to onboard Wi-Fi. According to the American brand, starting in 2012 it will offer the option of incorporating Wi-Fi in its vehicles.
The Focus will come with a USB port to which we can connect a USB data modem, and the car will then act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Of course, we provide the connection and the modem. This way, we can connect up to five devices and use the internet inside the vehicle. It is interesting that a mainstream brand offers a similar system, something that until now has been the territory of premium brands.
