BMW production of the M6 ends

Following the recent farewell of the BMW M5 from the market a few months ago, now it is the turn of a model as spectacular and eye-catching as the current-generation BMW M6, which, just as with the M5, will make way for a new model with which BMW hopes to gain many points.
As with the “previous generation” M5 and M6, the arrival of this sports coupé also means we have to say goodbye to a tremendous engine like the 5.0-litre V10 fitted to both models, which will give way to a supercharged V8 that is expected to improve on the records of the magnificent V10 in both performance and consumption.

This is how an emblematic model bows out: it had barely reached the market when it entered the history of the German brand on the very day it was presented to the public. With this model BMW has managed to sell 14,152 units, split between 9,087 units of the coupé version and 5,065 units of the convertible version.
Unfortunately, the press release issued by BMW does not specify anywhere, not even the slightest hint, when they plan to present the next generation or what changes it will bring, so all we can do is wait and speculate with spy photos.
