BMW Serie 8 Golden Thunder: a new aesthetic finish for the German giant
The BMW Serie 8 will debut an aesthetic pack that focuses on including several decorative golden details, going on sale from September.

The current BMW Serie 8 has only recently reached the market, but we are already seeing new versions being added to the brand’s range. Now comes the BMW Serie 8 Golden Thunder Edition, a variant that plays with the golden elements incorporated into the bodywork to offer a more attractive and elegant look.
For now, this improvement pack is purely cosmetic, so there will be no changes to the mechanics or standard equipment. Even so, these aesthetic modifications give this model, which is already quite attractive on its own, more presence thanks to the exclusive decorative elements in gold and the equipment that comes from BMW Individual.

Exclusive decoration for the BMW Serie 8
The golden decorative accents appear at several points on the bodywork. They can be found on the front apron, the side skirts and continue to the rear apron, creating a luxurious visual effect that stands out across the bodywork. The wheels feature 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels in black and gold, a pattern that is repeated on the exterior mirror housings.

To make these golden accents stand out even more, this gold finish is offered alongside the metallic bodywork colours Sapphire Black and Frozen Black, creating a striking contrast between the bodywork and these decorative details. BMW Individual adds to this variant the High Gloss Shadow Line finish and the black brake calipers taken from the M performance cars.
Inside, the BMW Serie 8 Golden Thunder edition also features golden touches on the black upholstery, and the inscription Edition Golden Thunder can be read on the front of the headrests. In the case of the BMW Serie 8 Coupé and Gran Coupé, a roof lining in Alcantara Anthracite and interior trim in Mesh Effect Gold aluminium are added.
All models that benefit from this version have CraftedClarity glass applications and a multimedia system with surround sound Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System. This aesthetic pack will be available across the entire BMW Serie 8 range, from the Coupé to the Gran Coupé and from the 840i to the M850i xDrive.
It will go on sale in the final part of 2020, although the brand has not announced a specific date on which it will be available.
