BMW would be preparing a 4 Series (yes, you guessed it: a four-door coupé)

Have we even processed the blow of the Porsche Pajun yet, and here comes another one? This time, from BMW’s side. The brand’s plans regarding the F30, the new generation of the 3 Series, were already well known. But now, what is coming would be an alternative development based on the same F30, a four-door coupé.

According to the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, BMW already has the code name for this model on file, which would be none other than F36. It has also been revealed that it would no longer be part of the 3 Series family, but would instead form a new 4 Series. Given all these premises, the brand has already promised to release some teasers of the interior of the new model “in the near future”.

To help you form an idea in your head, the 4 Series would be 4 centimetres longer, 3 centimetres wider and 6 centimetres lower than the F30 saloon. Given these dimensions alone, we will surely find a very stylish and genuinely eye-catching model, typically BMW.

Will BMW confirm anything soon? Probably, but I don’t think we’ll have to wait too long, since the suspense created by this first leak cannot fade, if the date of 2014 that has been mentioned for its presentation is a real target for the brand.
