Brabus prepares the Mercedes-AMG GT S for Frankfurt

Brabus has just unleashed all its magic on the sports car from Mercedes-Benz, the AMG GT S, a two-seater with a twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 510 CV and 650 Nm of torque. Its aggressive design has also been reworked by the German tuner, as have the interior, suspension and wheels. Thanks to its powerful mechanicals, the Mercedes-AMG GT S can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 310 km/h.

Starting with the exterior, the Brabus AMG GT S features a complete carbon fibre aerodynamic kit consisting of more aggressive bumpers, a spoiler, new air outlets in the front fenders, new interior panels and a rear diffuser with custom cutouts for the four exhaust tubes. Completing the package are ultra-lightweight Monoblok F forged wheels, 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear. The exterior is now 15 mm lower thanks to a specific suspension kit.

Inside, Brabus has put together an interesting list of accessories that customers can choose from as they please. These accessories include carbon fibre door sill plates with stainless steel inserts and an illuminated tuner logo, chrome-plated or matt anodised aluminium pedals, and aluminium paddle shifters positioned for a more ergonomic reach. The whole cabin features luxurious details such as fine leather and Alcantara in a colour chosen by the owner. The dashboard, centre console and door panel inserts are available in carbon fibre, although wood or different colours can also be chosen.

Under the bonnet, the Mercedes-AMG GT S by Brabus features the PowerXtra B40 performance kit, which lets the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 reach 600 CV and 750 Nm of torque. With this upgrade, the GT S goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 325 km/h. Beyond these improvements, the sports exhaust made from lightweight aluminium, which weighs 40% less than the original, optimises the engine’s power delivery, and it is equipped with electronically controlled butterfly valves that allow the engine sound to be customised.
