Brabus Ultimate E Concept: a most radical electric city car
Brabus presents the Brabus Ultimate E Concept, a prototype based on the smart fortwo that features an electric propulsion system with a range of 160 km

Although the smart fortwo is a city car that does not stand out for its performance, the prototype based on the German city car that Brabus has presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show is quite the opposite. The Brabus Ultimate E Concept is a sustainable prototype that retains all the hallmarks of the Bavarian tuner: a sportiness that is most radical.
This city prototype features an exclusive yellow body colour called Brabus Widestar Yellow, a shade that contrasts with several exterior elements finished in black. The car also incorporates eye-catching 18-inch wheels finished in black with yellow details. At the rear we find three fake exhaust outlets located in the centre, as well as a roof spoiler. Inside, the blue colour stands out on certain elements such as the dashboard, the seats and the door trims.

The Brabus Ultimate E Concept features an electric propulsion system manufactured by Kreisel Electric which produces 204 CV of power and a maximum torque of 350 Nm. These performance figures and a weight of 1,085 kilograms allow the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. The car’s top speed is somewhat more modest: 180 km/h. It also features adjustable suspension that allows the ride height to be adjusted.
The Brabus Ultimate E Concept features a 22 kWh battery that is homologated for 160 kilometres on the European NEDC cycle, a figure that would be somewhat lower in real-world conditions. The car’s battery can be charged to 80% in half an hour using fast charging.
Brabus has confirmed during the Frankfurt Show that it is studying the possibility of turning this prototype into a production version, though with a limited number of units.
