Bugatti prepares for the future and announces an electric model
The superсar brand is preparing a project that will allow it to launch a fully electric car with a maximum price of 1 million euros

Bugatti is one of those brands that make us dream with every model they release, so we are ready for almost anything related to its models. What may catch us off guard is the announcement that the brand is preparing a fully electric car, something that will give us an electric supercar that will make us enjoy just by imagining it.
What doesn’t quite add up is that Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Bugatti, has added that it will be an “affordable” electric car in the interview he gave to Bloomberg. Something we can’t imagine in the same sentence as “new Bugatti model”. And the plans of the brand that sells the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ for 3.5 million euros sound a bit strange.

A general strategy of the Volkswagen Group
Bugatti is one of the brands under the umbrella of the Volkswagen Group and we already know that one of the strategies of the group’s brands is gradually shifting toward more sustainable mobility. Electrified models are appearing across all brands, in the form of hybrids, plug-in hybrids and 100% electric vehicles, so within reason this is not an overly unexpected move and is in line with the rest of the brands.
According to their statements to the outlet, it would be a separate line from the rest of Bugatti and would encompass a series of electric vehicles. These models would be as exclusive as their combustion-engine siblings, but would sit in a lower range than the most legendary models the brand offers.
For now, this future launch of an electric Bugatti is under negotiation and we will have to wait for the parent company to give the brand’s proposal the green light. In any case, the future electric Bugatti is still a project on paper. What we do know is that it will be a model whose price ceiling will be one million euros, with a range going from 500,000 euros up to that amount as the cap. Which, considering the brand’s prices, will indeed be affordable.
