Bugatti Veyron vs Koenigsegg CCXR

If there are two vehicles on the planet designed exclusively to break every speed record in existence up to their creation, they are the ones you see on screen: on one side, the Koenigsegg CCXR, a beast that, until the arrival of the Bugatti Veyron, held the title of the fastest production car on the planet.
On one side we have the Koenigsegg CCXR, a beast powered by an enormous 4,712 cc V8 engine made of aluminium with four valves per cylinder, fitted with two turbochargers. Technology more than sufficient to reach a maximum output of 806 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds or reach a top speed of 402 km/h.
On the other side we have the ever-impressive Bugatti Veyron, a beast with 1,001 horsepower (1,200 in its most radical version), achieved thanks to a W16 engine (16 cylinders in a W configuration with a total of 64 valves), enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.64 seconds or reach a top speed of 407 km/h.
With vehicles like these, it’s no surprise that certain fortunate owners want to pit their machines against each other in a face-to-face contest purely on acceleration: no corners, just keeping the steering wheel straight and having enough cold blood to press the accelerator all the way down without any fear.
