BYD, the global giant in plug-in vehicles, continues to expand its sales network in Spain with the opening of nine new dealerships. Through strategic alliances with the most prominent automotive groups, the Chinese brand is consolidating its presence in Castilla y León, Extremadura and Murcia, and will reach a total of 29 dealerships official by early 2025.
In its firm goal of covering the entire national territory, BYD has joined forces with Grupo Hidalgo to make a strong entry into Castilla y León. This agreement will allow the opening of dealerships in Valladolid, Burgos, León, Salamanca and Ávila before the end of the year. Grupo Hidalgo, with more than 30 years of experience in the sector, is one of the benchmarks in the region and will be key in this new stage of the brand’s expansion.
Extremadura and Murcia also welcome BYD
For the first time, BYD lands in Extremadura thanks to its collaboration with Grupo Gedauto. This group, with more than three decades of experience in vehicle sales, will be in charge of opening the brand’s first dealerships in Badajoz and Cáceres. The Badajoz dealership will open its doors at the end of 2024, while the one in Cáceres will be operational in early 2025.
In the southeast of the country, BYD is partnering with Marcos Automoción to open two new dealerships in the Region of Murcia. This company, one of the largest vehicle sales groups in Spain, will bring its experience so that the dealerships in Murcia and Cartagena are operational before the end of the year.
A network of 29 dealerships by early 2025
With these new openings, BYD will reach 29 official dealerships in Spain, a key step in its expansion strategy that has continued to gain momentum since its arrival in the country. The company aims to exceed 40 official dealerships throughout 2025, consolidating its position as a leader in the plug-in and electric vehicle market.
