Can this modified Mercedes-AMG GTR beat the all-powerful Bugatti Chiron?
The Bugatti Chiron faces a modified Mercedes-AMG GTR, tuned by the tuner Renntech, in a drag race. The German supercar offers almost 200 hp more than the standard model.
The Bugatti Chiron is the most powerful production supercar on the market. With its 8.0-litre W16 engine and four turbochargers, it produces 1,500 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque. Its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration (2.5 seconds) makes it one of the toughest rivals in the famous quarter-mile test. The reality is that the Chiron usually leaves behind every hypercar that gets in front of it, something its challenger in the next video will have to face: a Mercedes-AMG GTR.

Unlike most drag races, this one does not start from a standstill but from 50 km/h. Moreover, the Chiron’s rival for this occasion is not a standard Mercedes-AMG GTR, but a special preparation designed by Renntech whose 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivers improved performance over the standard model: 761 hp and 857 Nm of torque. According to the tuner, thanks to the additional 184 hp and 157 Nm of torque, the German supercar is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds.
With these numbers, the Mercedes-AMG GTR can leave most of its rivals in the dust, but will it be able to leave the Bugatti Chiron behind? Since we don’t want to spoil the outcome, we’ll let you find out for yourselves.
