Can't get your hands on the new Tesla Cybertruck? Don't worry, these Russians will show you how to build one
Can’t get your hands on a Tesla Cybertruck? Well, stop suffering, because these Russian mechanics will show you how to build one in a simple way.

Without a doubt, the Tesla Cybertruck was one of the late-2019 developments that generated the most controversy and anticipation. Elon Musk once again relied on his ingenuity and marketing prowess with this model, which adopts unusual shapes that nobody expected. Although the Cybertruck has stirred up hatred among those who see it as an outrage, many have also fallen at its feet. Unfortunately for them, the Cybertruck will not meet the safety regulations of every market, so several markets will not be able to access it.
But don’t panic. Today we bring you a solution that is far from rudimentary but can satisfy the urge to walk into the garage every morning and find a shiny Tesla Cybertruck. We came across a video of Russian mechanics who, not wasting any time, decided to build one for themselves.
Everyone knows the Russians’ ability to build just about anything regardless of the tools and resources available, and this video is a clear example of it. However, we must admit the result is genuinely good, and we think it’s not far-fetched to consider this replica one of the most faithful ever built to date.

To shape this fake Tesla Cybertruck, these mechanics used an old truck with a wheelbase long enough to fit the exuberant structure of the original model. Once the donor’s bodywork was entirely removed, the next step was to take measurements and use an angle grinder to shape our desired electric pickup.
We can see how, after welding the new structure, the project takes on the form of a Cybertruck. Because of the model’s very angular design, the mechanics had to cut numerous metal sheets to achieve the desired result, which were also applied to much of the front end and the wheel arches themselves.

There have been no mechanical changes, so we can expect this replica to keep using a powerful diesel engine that once powered an imposing truck. Either way, the final result is truly impressive, and surely more than one person will believe that what they’re seeing roll down Russian roads is a genuine Tesla Cybertruck.
