An SUV, also called a crossover or light off-roader, is the fashionable segment when it comes to automobiles. From the English Sport Utility Vehicle, it refers to a sport vehicle designed with a unibody chassis and a ground clearance somewhat higher than a traditional car, but with the same characteristics, generally front-wheel drive, that offers comfort on asphalt while also having adventurous capabilities on dirt roads.
