Jeep goes all out with the electric Wagoneer S: 600 CV and over 500 km of range
Jeep reveals more details about its new Wagoneer S, a fully electric SUV with which the American brand aims to take on the “heavyweights” in the segment, including Tesla and the German premium brands.

It will first launch in the US and Canada after the summer, and will later be available in other markets, including Europe, although we will have to wait for confirmation as to whether it will reach Spain. We are talking about the new Jeep Wagoneer S, the brand’s new SUV, designed exclusively as a fully electric drive model on the basis of Stellantis’ scalable STLA Large platform.
So what do we know so far about the new Wagoneer S? It will feature two electric motors capable of producing a total system output of 600 CV and over 800 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds. The battery, with a capacity of 100 kWh and running on 400 volts (the STLA platform will also allow the use of 800-volt technology), gives the Wagoneer S a range of over 500 km on a single charge, and it can recharge from 20 to 80% in just over 20 minutes at a fast charging point.

Electric all-wheel drive is managed through the Selec-Terrain system of Jeep, which in this case offers the five characteristic driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow and Sand. The system allows a variable torque distribution, including full disconnection of the front axle to reduce consumption when cruising on the motorway.
Compared with other SUVs from the brand, Jeep claims to have improved body torsional rigidity by 35%. The Wagoneer S also boasts the Jeep with the best aerodynamic coefficient in the brand’s history, with a Cd of 0.29; even so, the sharp silhouette of the Wagoneer S, with details such as a steeply raked windscreen and door handles flush with the bodywork, does not come close to the figures of the best in the segment, some of which drop below 0.25, as is the case with Tesla Model X. Other cars the new Jeep will face off against include the Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron, the new Kia EV9 and the Mercedes-Benz EQS.

Inside, the Wagoneer S can add up to 45 inches in total across the instrument cluster screens, the infotainment system, the integrated front passenger screen and a fourth lower screen for controlling various systems in a fully digital cabin. The McIntosh sound system is also exclusive, with a total of 19 speakers, a 1,160-watt amplifier and a 12-inch subwoofer.
