Chevrolet Corvette 2016 unveiled with minimal changes

Chevrolet has made public the MY 2016 version of its most popular sports car, the Corvette, which in this seventh generation is enjoying tremendous success.

For the new year, the American firm has decided to introduce very slight touch-ups to the sports car’s interior design, as well as new equipment options embodied in three new packages.

The 2016 MY Corvette receives two exterior details, a new bonnet, which can optionally be in exposed carbon fibre, and alloy wheels whose design has been modified to make them more attractive.

As we mentioned earlier, there are three new packages that have been added to the Vette’s equipment list. The first of these is called the Twilight Blue Design Package. It can be ordered with one of these body colours: Shark Gray, Blade Silver, Arctic White or Night Race Blue. The paint is complemented by brake calipers painted in black or grey, the Twilight Blue interior trim and the Magnetic Ride Control electronic suspension.

The second package is called the Spice Red Design Package and adds the same equipment as the previous package, but with a Spice Red interior trim. It is available with the Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat, Shark Gray, Blade Silver or Arctic White paints.

The third and final equipment package is named the Jet Black Suede Design Package, and consists of satin black wheels, red brake calipers and a rear spoiler in the same shade. The interior is finished in Jet Black and also includes carbon fibre trim. The electronic suspension is also included in the package.

In addition to these three packages, two new shades have been added to the colour palette, called Corvette Racing Yellow and Long Beach Red Metallic, as well as a flat-bottomed steering wheel as standard.
