Citroën creates the DS3 Cabrio l'Uomo Vogue

Barely enough time has passed since its launch for Citroën to have been unable to wait before giving the new DS3 Cabrio its first one-off. The charming French model, which now gains an extra touch of exclusivity with this retractable-roof bodywork in the style of the Fiat 500C, has been configured by the men’s section of Vogue magazine in Italy to create a unique unit. It was presented during Milan Fashion Week.
Named l’Uomo Vogue, this DS3 Cabrio is designed to represent the fashion publication’s target readership and its refined taste. Citroën’s Design Department worked on the model’s aesthetic areas to achieve this. For example, the bodywork is painted in an exclusive shade, Stardust Grey Matt (the fashionable finish on the DS3), which accentuates the discretion of this edition.

The roof is also woven with a fabric embossed with a pattern of the DS3 symbol repeated several times. This symbol also appears on the exterior mirror housings. The cabin is another area given particular attention in editions of this kind. The predominant material is the new Bracelet Black Brown leather with pearl-stitch seams, used for the upholstery, door panels and dashboard.
Citroën states that this special example of the DS3 Cabrio will go up for auction. The funds raised will go to the “Women Create Life” initiative of the World Health Organization. The standard DS3 Cabrio, which we saw at the recent Paris Motor Show, will reach our market this spring. Although this configuration by Vogue will be lost, it is only a matter of time before another fashion house of renown gets its hands on it.
