Corvette C6 Twin-Turbo vs Viper Twin-Turbo: 2700 horsepower on the asphalt
A Corvette C6 V8 TwinTurbo, launched against a Dodge Viper V10 TwinTurbo, shows us that the brutal V8 and V10 engines still have a lot to say in today’s times.

Anyone who has driven a vehicle with a brutal V8 engine will know that sensation running along the spine when we press the accelerator harder and harder. The torque pushes, the roar of the 8 cylinders never stops, and for a few seconds one is transported to a state of automotive nirvana that is hard to forget for hours and even days.
Let’s add to the mix a V8 engine against a V10 engine, and it gets even more interesting; and if we give each one two turbos and add up 2700 horsepower accelerating side by side (1500 for the Corvette, 1200 for the Viper).
The only thing I would have hoped for from this video is that the Corvette had more grip on the road and that the rear didn’t go wandering strangely at 200 km/h. And from the Viper, that its driver was more alert to react in time to the Corvette’s acceleration. Although the C6 is literally a plane, unreachable.
Turn up the volume and enjoy just over a minute and a half of adrenaline.
