Corvette Stingray Convertible, first teaser

At the end of last month, we learned that Chevrolet would bring a convertible version of the newly launched Corvette Stingray C7 to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Today, the first teaser of the American supercar has been released, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible 2014, which will make its debut on Swiss soil next March 5th.

With this first image, which shows in a certain way the lines that will accompany the vehicle, Chevrolet has committed to offering its customers the balance between technology, design and performance. Without much more to see, it has been revealed that compared to previous generations, the seventh will maintain very similar shapes between the Coupé and the Cabrio, distinguishing them only by the roof.

Corvette chief engineer Juechter Tadge has pointed out that every Corvette has been designed from the outset as an open-top car, and the new Stingray is no different. He also states that whether it is the hardtop, soft-top or targa Corvette, it will be a vehicle that can be driven every day to work, across the continent, or for fun on back roads.

Shortly after its debut in Geneva, Chevrolet will auction the first Convertible at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Palm Beach, with all proceeds going to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
