CUPRA Ateca Limited Edition: a special edition for 350 lucky owners
The CUPRA Ateca becomes even more special with the Limited Edition, which will be made up of 1,999 units, of which 350 will arrive in Spain.

A few months ago, CUPRA announced the arrival of one of its first special editions based on the Ateca. Named the Limited Edition, it was unveiled at the last Geneva Motor Show, but it is only now that we have learned all of its details. As a proper special edition, it not only brings a series of exclusive features to the Spanish SUV, but also a very low production run. A total of 1,999 CUPRA Ateca Limited Editions will be built, but only 350 will arrive in Spain, so if you want one, you’d better hurry.
CUPRA was created to house the performance models that, until not long ago, lived under the SEAT umbrella as variants based on existing models. But this new brand wanted to go further: it wanted to take exclusivity to another level and, to do so, has turned to its firstborn.
A more special design
CUPRA’s designers have decided to bet on a series of details that make the Ateca a more special vehicle. First of all, the Limited Edition’s bodywork features an exclusive shade called Graphene Grey. To create an attractive focal point, copper has been used on various elements, but the icing on the cake is found in the wing mirrors and the rear spoiler, parts that have been fitted with carbon fibre.

The 20-inch black and copper alloy wheels with a specific design are the final touch on the exterior, but not on the overall look. The cabin has also been modified and is where we find the most novelties. To begin with, you will be greeted by bucket seats upholstered in Petrol Blue Alcantara, a shade that is repeated on the rear row and the door panels.
In addition, carbon fibre returns on the air vent trims and the dashboard, a clear nod to sportiness. At the same time, CUPRA adds as standard equipment an electric panoramic sunroof and the Beats Audio System, with 340 W of power, 9 speakers and a subwoofer.
Same power, but a different soundtrack
Despite the aesthetic and interior innovations found in the CUPRA Ateca Limited Edition, the mechanical side remains unchanged. Accordingly, the 1,999 lucky owners of this very special SUV will continue to use the well-known 2.0 TSI from the Volkswagen Group, a four-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of producing 300 CV and 400 Nm of torque.
These figures allow the 0 to 100 km/h sprint to take 4.9 seconds and let the CUPRA Ateca reach a top speed of 247 km/h. But one of the biggest novelties is found in the exhaust system, which can optionally be replaced by a new line signed by Akrapovič that will enhance the sound of the Spanish SUV and add crackles and pops.

For now the company has made no statements about pricing, only that 350 units will reach the Spanish market. In this way, we can infer that the 45,550 euros CUPRA asks for the standard Ateca will rise to around 50,000 euros, the approximate outlay anyone wanting this special edition will have to face.
