Customers of Audi will be able to try the R8 LMS

We haven’t been told the conditions, but Audi Driving Experience is going to offer its customers the chance to try the new R8 LMS (Le Mans Series) in 6 races to be held in 2010. Last year already, 120 lucky drivers got to try one of its vehicles at the Audi Sportscar Experience.
We don’t know what you have to do to take part, but if you own a Audi the best thing is to go to your dealership and ask about them. On the official Spanish website there is some information, but not much, since most of it has yet to be determined.
The German executives are rubbing their hands at the publicity this event will generate, saying they believe it is the first time a car manufacturer has offered its customers the chance to try such a racing car with more than 500 horsepower. The car will be prepared by Reinhold Joest, a team six-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
All lovers of driving sport should take note of this event: trying out a car like this on a closed circuit in a safe environment must be unique. Audi knows this and is promoting it far and wide. As soon as we have more news we will tell you about it.
