Damd turns the Suzuki Jimny into a mini G-Class

The Japanese tuner has unveiled its latest creation based on the popular Suzuki off-roader, which turns it into a scaled-down version of the all-powerful G-Class

To mark the Tokyo 2023 Motor Show, the Japanese tuner specialising in reworking numerous models from Japanese brands into small-scale replicas of vehicles such as the first-generation Toyota Land Cruiser, the Land Rover Defender and the Ford Bronco has just presented its latest creation: a design kit that turns the Suzuki Jimny into a scaled-down G-Class.

This is not the first time we have seen a Jimny dressed as a G-Class, as the British tuner Liberty Walk presented a very cool version of the compact off-roader about a year and a half ago. In this case, Damd’s conversion comes in three variants, depending on whether we want a more rugged look or not.

Suzuki Jimny Clase G 2

For lovers of the original G-Class

Starting with the Traditional version, which draws inspiration from the first generation of the star’s off-roader, the tuner has chosen a vintage yellow paint combined with an unpainted plastic grille, plastic wheel arch extensions, alloy wheels fitted with off-road tyres in body colour, and finally a rear end with the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate and a small ladder to make it easier to reach the roof.

The next variant created by Damd is called the Jimny Little G. Adventure and, unlike the Traditional, has a more modern and sporty look without losing an ounce of off-road character. It features a dark matte green finish, AMG-style alloy wheels fitted with BF Goodrich off-road tyres, protectors for the front light units, a roof rack for mounting a tent, and once again the spare wheel on the tailgate along with a small ladder.

The sportiest and most urban…

The third and final version created by the tuner is the Jimny Little G. Avance, presented as the least rugged of the three, with a Panamericana-style grille similar to that of the latest generation of the model, AMG-style wheels in chrome or black finish, a very eye-catching orange colour, and a spare wheel cover with a protective plate.

Having seen these three versions presented at the Tokyo Motor Show, which one would you choose?
