Did you think the Audi RS6 couldn't push its limits? The Nogaro Edition arrives with 700 CV to prove that it can.

It’s hard to believe that some models can deliver even greater performance, yet the car industry keeps convincing us of it and, at the same time, proves it to us. The Audi RS6 is one of those vehicles that captivates, and not only for its figures, but also for the versatility it offers. Even so, the four-ring brand has considered that its sporty estate deserves more exclusive treatment, and to convey those characteristics it has turned to ABT, a tuner specialising in Audi models.

The German company has presented a special edition whose name appeared on another of Audi’s sports models, the RS4. We are referring to the Nogaro Edition, a package offered on the most radical vehicles that pays tribute to the father of the RS4 and RS6, the acclaimed RS2. Without a doubt, it’s a lovely way to pay homage, and in the purest Audi style, with an understated, elegant look but with radical, sporty mechanics.

That’s right: in the Audi RS6 Nogaro Edition, there is no display of excess that isn’t also found on a standard model. It differs mainly by wearing a spectacular colour called Nogaro Blue, and, as you might guess, that is where the name of this special edition comes from. The rest of the styling elements remain faithful to the original, but the company has decided to make a tweak to the engine.

As in the standard RS6, we find a powerful supercharged V8 engine which, in the “more modest” version, produces 560 CV, rising to 605 CV if we opt for the Performance variant. On this occasion, however, the German engineers have managed to squeeze every last drop out of the RS6’s heart, raising the figures to 705 CV and 880 Nm of torque, which means the most radical estate from the brand reaches 100 km/h in 3 seconds.

As one would expect, the interior of the Audi RS6 Nogaro is accented with first-class materials. Alcantara and carbon fibre are present everywhere, and the seats feature special upholstery in the same tone as the exterior, with the intention of continuing the legacy left by that iconic Audi RS2. But exclusivity is not only present in the cabin, it also extends to the numbers.

Only 150 units of this very special RS6 will be built and each one will start from a base price of €124,200. In this way, the German company has managed to develop the most powerful production model in Audi’s history and, at the same time, it arrives at the perfect moment to bid farewell to this particularly special generation of the A6, which will be replaced imminently.
