DS 9 E-TENSE: this is its innovative lighting system
The new DS 9 E-TENSE offers interesting proposals in lighting technology, with active LED headlights that enhance this function.

The most modern cars have several features that we don’t find in older vehicles. Part of these innovations that improve their performance is the lighting system, which not only enhances its function but also creates a light signature that allows the model to be recognised from afar, thanks solely to these headlights. The DS 9 E-Tense features a very up-to-date lighting system that gives the model a highly attractive look.
This system is called DS ACTIVE LED VISION and, as its name suggests, it uses LED technology, which allows it to offer more active and interesting functions. The term ACTIVE refers to the fact that this lighting system acts immediately when activated. At that moment, the lights rotate as a greeting to the driver.

Adaptive and functional lighting
Once this movement, which is aesthetic, has been performed, the adaptive lighting system is activated, operating according to road conditions and the car’s speed. To do so, it has five operating modes, which activate automatically depending on driving conditions.

DS 9 E-TENSE LIGHTING
The first of these is the Parking function, which provides lighting designed to make parking manoeuvres easier. The city driving mode is called Town Bean. This mode widens the light beam and illuminates more to the sides five seconds after the car starts moving.
When the speed reaches 50 km/h and the car detects that it has left the city and is driving on a road, the Country Beam mode is activated. This system remains active until 110 km/h is reached, at which point the Motorway Beam mode is activated, optimising the use of lighting on motorways and expressways.
When weather conditions are adverse, the Adverse Weather mode is activated. This system gives more power to the secondary modules and reduces that of the main modules to achieve greater short-range visibility. To all these modes are added the Dynamic Bending Light directional active headlights and the High Beam long-range lights, which help improve the vehicle’s lighting.
