DS4 Performance Line, the sportiest version of the model is already here

DS has decided to complete the DS4 range with the only trim level missing from its models: a more aggressive design version. Filling that gap is the Performance Line, a version that pays tribute to DS’s motorsport department with new details, new alloy wheels and an interior with many aesthetic novelties.

The French premium brand has wanted to enhance the sporty character of the new DS4, focusing on a more sporty design and high-quality finishes that give the driver a great experience surrounded by premium materials.

Sporty design with personality

The exterior of the DS4 Performance Line features numerous black details that give it a sportier look, such as its large grille, its mirrors, the frames of the side windows and its darkened LED headlights.

At the front, the new daytime running lights stand out, with sharp shapes that run across much of the front, giving the darkened optics we have mentioned an aggressive look.

The side of the car shows a fluid, defined line with ribs on the mid-upper part of the doors and the upper part of the hip. Its roof slopes gently towards the rear, giving it a rounded, clean shape that complements the new Minneapolis 19-inch alloy wheels created exclusively for this version.

At the rear, there are new elongated LED lights that simulate a scale effect inside, as already seen on other models of the brand such as the DS7 or the DS9. The rear styling has a muscular look thanks to the width given by the rear wings and the relatively small rear window of the tailgate.

Refined interior with premium finishes

The interior is another strong point of the DS4 Performance Line, featuring materials such as Alcantara on the dashboard, door panels and centre console.

Its seats are upholstered in Basalto fabric with Alcantara and gold and carmine topstitching, the corporate colours of DS Performance. The steering wheel features a forged carbon trim on its inner spoke, and both the pedals and footrest are aluminium. In short, a truly premium interior.

The engine range available for the new DS4 Performance Line consists of the Puretech petrol versions with 130 and 180 CV and a BlueHDi diesel version with 130 CV. All engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

225 CV for the most capable version

The icing on the cake is the DS4 Performance Line E-TENSE, which features a 225 CV engine with plug-in hybrid technology, giving it a range of up to 55 kilometres in 100% electric mode.

The starting price of the DS4 Performance Line is 34,200 euros. The first units will be delivered at the end of 2021.
