As you already know, Ducati has been part of the VAG Group for a few years now, just like Lamborghini, which a few months ago led to the creation of the limited edition Diavel 1260 Lamborghini, which carried over the style of a truly spectacular vehicle such as the Sián FKP 37 onto one of the most brutal and beautiful motorcycles in the Borgo Panigale brand’s lineup.

This limited edition confirmed something we already knew: the Ducati Diavel is a perfect model for creating one-off units that make you feel even more special, if owning a Ducati wasn’t already special enough. Now the Italian brand is expanding the Diavel range with the “Black and Steel” version, featuring a special livery that undoubtedly makes it even more attractive.

The new Ducati Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” was unveiled to the world just a few days ago in Milan’s Piazza del Duomo, on the occasion of a new edition of the MIMO Motor Show, where attendees were able to see a design inspired by the Ducati Materico prototype shown in 2019. The livery of the Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” features asymmetrical graphics with a colour combination that suits it perfectly, using glossy grey and matt black as the main colours, while the contrast comes from the yellow present on the chassis, the lower insert of the seat and details such as the keel, the wheels and the seat.

Those who opt for the Ducati Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” will get a motorcycle that will attract even more attention wherever it goes, but that will remain just as comfortable and easy to ride despite its generous dimensions, something largely thanks to the design of its seat, which sits at a height of 780 mm from the ground, allowing practically anyone, even shorter riders, to easily put their feet down on the ground.

There are no mechanical changes, so the fun is powered by the Testastretta DVT engine producing 162 CV at 9,500 rpm and a torque of 129 Nm, with a flat and full torque curve that allows for spectacular acceleration while also permitting low-revs use for city riding or touring-style riding. Another characteristic element of this muscle cruiser is also retained: the enormous 240 mm rear tyre remains present on this version, giving an even more imposing look and offering great manoeuvrability and lean angles.

The brand has confirmed that the new Ducati Diavel 1260 S “Black and Steel” will arrive at Spanish dealerships during the month of September, with a starting price set by the brand at 25,190 euros.
