Electric car assembled by students

The boom in eco-friendly cars in the industry allows students from different universities to develop their skills with the support of various companies, and some concepts even manage to generate a bit of interest, such as the project promoted by Bridgestone.
On this occasion, the group of students in charge of the assembly of the electric car belongs to the automotive design program at DeLaSalle School, located in Kansas City (United States).
The team took as its base the chassis of a Lola Indy Car, which was implemented according to the instructors’ specifications. In addition, they managed to develop an electric powertrain that could arguably challenge the efficiency of several engines on the market.
It is stated that its performance in terms of fuel economy corresponds to 127 km/l. Of course, this figure should not be taken seriously, since it is a concept and does not represent an objective view of the needs of the average user.
The video you will see below shows the participation of the students and the performance test at the Texas Proving Ground circuit, owned by Bridgestone.
