Faraday Future's FFZERO concept will surprise you

Faraday Future EV concept
The CES 2016 is full of good ideas and great projects, as Faraday Future has demonstrated. This young company, which is only 18 months old, has managed to present a conceptual car, fully electric, that surprised us with its look but also with its technical characteristics. At first, it was expected that Faraday Future would present a model capable of competing with the Tesla Model S or the Model X.

What the young company has presented is a totally innovative model, with a futuristic look that surprises and which makes it quite unfeasible, at least for now. The basis of this vehicle is a platform that has been developed specifically for use in a fully electric car, built from scratch and called Variable Platform Architecture. It is designed to accommodate various types of motors and drive systems, whether all-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.

The FFZERO uses an electric propulsion system that features an electric motor on each wheel. The combined action of these four motors achieves a power output of over 1,000 CV. They also manage to launch the car from standstill to 100 km/h in just three seconds, reaching a top speed of over 320 km/h, a more than considerable figure.

Not content with offering power and speed within those ranges, they have also equipped it with a wide variety of systems that help achieve autonomous driving that comes close to being 100% efficient. The driver sits in a position inclined at 45º, a posture that they say favors driving and blood circulation, promoting concentration.

Although they say it is a car entirely designed for use in races and various competitions, it will never reach production. It is a car designed to be showcased at various technology and automotive events. According to them, the first production car will arrive in about two years and will possibly include some of the elements seen in this model, although in a perhaps more conventional model.
