Fast and Furious 7, confirmed for 2014

Vin Diesel, the actor who brings Dominic Toretto to life in Fast & Furious, has confirmed the seventh instalment of the saga for 11 July 2014, one year after the arrival of Fast and Furious 6 in cinemas worldwide. Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez, the stars of the film, expressed their gratitude to the public for the box office success it has enjoyed.

The announcement of the seventh instalment of the American film came at CinemaCon, a cinema exhibitors’ convention in Las Vegas, and served as a reminder of the 24 May 2013 release of Fast and Furious 6.

The sixth instalment of the franchise was filmed in locations around the world, including Los Angeles, London, Scotland, Liverpool and the Canary Islands. This will be the penultimate film in the saga, with the seventh being the last and definitive one.

Besides Fast and Furious 6 and 7, over these two years the Need for Speed film and Rush will also hit the screen, the latter being related to Formula 1 in the 1970s and 1980s. Rush will premiere at the end of summer 2013, shortly before the Paris Motor Show.
