Ferrari Sports Cars Geneva Motor Show
Ferrari will showcase the HELE technology for the 458 Italia at Geneva

Just as it did with the California at last year’s Paris Motor Show, the Maranello-based brand will bring the optional package that makes its sports car less polluting to the Geneva Motor Show, according to Carscoop. It will also be called HELE (High Emotion Low Emission), referencing the technology it uses to reduce consumption and emissions.
Among the modifications it features is the Start&Stop system, which automatically stops and restarts the engine in just 230 milliseconds. This helps reduce CO2 emissions by eleven percent, less than the benefit the California achieved, but still bringing it down from 307 grams per kilometre to 275.
Autoblog.nl completes the information with data practically identical to that of the California HELE. That is, it includes a new electronic configuration for the air conditioning compressor, the fuel pump and the engine fan. The dual-clutch transmission has also been adapted so that gear changes are carried out as efficiently as possible and the maximum possible fuel is used.
For the moment, no further details have been confirmed, and customers who can afford a 458 Italia will probably not pay much attention to that kind of data either. Even so, Ferrari continues to strive, in its own way, to harm the environment a little less, and it is an excuse to admire this model once again at the Swiss show.
