Fiat is launching its Sedici 2010 mini SUV on sale this month, with a revised version of the model that first appeared in 2006 for the European market. This car, which is the same as the Suzuki SX4 since it is built by both brands together, receives a power increase in its 2.0 JTD engine, going from 120 to 135 cv, the only engine available for now.

With a six-speed manual gearbox and promising performance, at a reasonable price of 20,000 € it is presented as a strong candidate to compete in the mid-range urban SUV segment that the RAV4 pioneered. The two variants on offer differ in their drive, all-wheel or front-wheel.

The Fiat Sedici 2010 Dynamic has two-wheel drive and a more modest, quite spartan trim, with front electric windows, dual airbags, air conditioning and not much more. That said, the options are not especially expensive; metallic paint costs just 400 €.

On the other hand, the Emotion version includes climate control, specific upholstery, multifunction steering wheel trimmed in leather, alloy wheels and rear electric windows as standard, as well as optional extras such as sat nav, leather upholstery or pearl paint instead of metallic. The Emotion version, however, comes with all-wheel drive.

Prices are affordable, 20,600 for the Dynamic version and 23,600 for the Emotion version, recommended retail price. If its performance proves reasonable once it is known, it will surely be a model worth considering.
