Honda Hybrid Cars Coupés Curiosities
Finally, Mugen will market its Honda CR-Z
Mugen Europe will finally launch its 200-hp Honda CR-Z. Initially, it is expected to be available only in the English market, although this is unconfirmed and, depending on the reception, it may reach other markets later.

When Mugen presented its unusual Honda CR-Z a few months ago, many enthusiasts were taken with this small sports car, whose design was more than attractive, but whose performance was “somewhat” limited, like the model that was originally meant to produce Honda instead of the 130 hp version currently on sale.
That was precisely what Mugen had to think about when it set all its engineers to work on a far more appealing vehicle, combined with a hybrid powertrain whose output was raised for the occasion to 200 hp. Unfortunately, it was initially confirmed that the vehicle was merely a prototype that would go no further.

Thanks to this, today we can talk about a model that will finally reach the market, at least initially in the British market, from February 2012. Among the car’s main features, it is worth highlighting, among other things, that it can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds, which is no small feat.
Among the new features, it is worth noting that although the tuner has chosen to keep the 1.5-litre engine, a new turbo system has been installed to raise its output from the original 114 hp to 200 hp. Furthermore, the electrical system has been improved to deliver greater “liveliness” at low revs.
