Firestone Multiseason: an Allseason tyre for passenger cars and SUVs

The second generation of the Firestone Multiseason has arrived, an Allseason or “all-season” tyre that improves on the performance of its predecessor and can be used on snow and in summer.

The advantage of Allseason tyres, also called “all-season” or “all-weather” tyres compared with winter tyres, is that they can be used throughout the year while maintaining a good balance of performance, without needing to be replaced when the winter season ends. On the downside, they do not have the snow performance of winter tyres.

However, by ensuring mobility in situations where users may occasionally need a tyre that offers grip on ice or even snow, without the need to fit chains, this type of tyre is increasingly an alternative for more drivers to consider.

Firestone, a brand known for offering a range of tyres with a favourable balance between price and product, is now launching the second generation of its Allseason tyre for passenger cars and SUVs. It is the Firestone Multiseason.

A tyre for all four seasons

With a tread pattern optimised to evacuate water more effectively while also offering greater stiffness on dry asphalt, the Firestone Multiseason improves its dry braking figures by 9% and wet braking by 14%, achieving a class B rating on the European label. The 3PMSF certification guarantees that it is a tyre suitable for driving on snow and, therefore, a legal alternative to chains.

Firestone MultiseasonOther improvements to the Firestone Multiseason affect tread life, which is 20% longer, thanks to optimised rolling resistance, which allows it to achieve a class C rating in this category of the label across most sizes.

The Firestone Multiseason range goes on sale in July and will be progressively expanded to reach 50 different sizes, covering wheel diameters from 13 to 18 inches.
