The new Kia XCeed will bet on the latest technology with a digital instrument cluster
Kia continues to bet on the latest technology, something it demonstrates with the forthcoming XCeed, a model that will feature a 100% digital instrument cluster.

Renew or die, one of the phrases -or sayings- that is making the biggest dent in the automotive industry, where it is very easy to become obsolete. One of the most fashionable and sought-after elements is, without a doubt, the digital instrument cluster, a technology that all manufacturers are beginning to adopt. Kia has not wanted to be left behind, which is why it will take advantage of the launch of the new XCeed to incorporate a digital instrument cluster for the first time, which will provide all kinds of information to the driver in the most cutting-edge way possible.
In this way, the XCeed will not only present itself as the latest crossover from the Korean firm, but also as the one tasked with setting a new path for its siblings. With this premise, the SUV from Kia will be responsible for offering a design language that future additions will follow, something that will also happen with the cabin and the technology it features.
Up to 12.3 inches for the “Supervision” digital instrument cluster
Kia has wanted to aim high, and to achieve this it has decided to challenge its main German rivals, with whom it is closing the gap more and more. It is true that several members of the Volkswagen Group pioneered the so-called Virtual Cockpit, but it is now the Korean firm that has shown its weapons with this new technology.

It will be called “Supervision” and will display all kinds of information through a 12.3-inch screen. It will show the data needed to keep the driver informed of what is happening in the vehicle itself and to operate various functions of the infotainment system, an aspect that will allow the driver not to take their eyes off the road as much.
Its high resolution of 1,920×720 pixels will show in great detail everything the user demands. At the same time, the appearance of the instrument cluster can also change depending on the driving mode selected, and each and every menu can be managed using a series of controls located on the steering wheel itself.
However, the “Supervision” could arrive as an optional extra on the Kia XCeed in Spain, depending on the market it is intended for. This is how the Korean brand is betting on an instrumentation that leaves behind the traditional needles still present on many models in its range, which will also eventually succumb to this new technology in order to offer a more renewed and modern look.
