First images of the new M5
The BMW M5 has traditionally been one of the benchmark saloons in the world of luxury saloons and supercars. The Audi A8, the Porsche Panamera and others compete with it directly, but it must be admitted that the M5 is a benchmark for sportiness and aggressive styling.
Now BMW has launched the first sketch of the new BMW M5, with a fairly attractive design (especially better than the previous one, which in my opinion is an eyesore compared with one of the most elegant lines BMW has ever produced, the M5 e-39) and with slight touches compared with the road version. It is still a preliminary sketch, nothing definitive.
As always, it is designed to be able to deliver maximum power instantly and, at the same time, to be used daily and comfortably seat 5 people for short, medium or long journeys. The interior design will be very similar, with some modifications and with the DSG gearbox developed by Motorsport.
It will follow the line of Efficient Dynamics with its new 4.4-litre engine producing 578 CV , derived from the current M5 and M6. Being an improvement, and with the Start & Stop system , it promises to advance sporting performance while also reducing consumption, which has been very fashionable lately but is also extremely effective when it comes to selling vehicles.
