Ford Celebrates the Success of the 4th Edition of Its "Conduce tu Vida" Programme

Awareness of the dangers that driving a car can entail can never be enough. Many of us have heard the typical saying “driving school teaches you how to get your licence, not how to drive”. And as annoying as it may be, there is a good deal of truth in it.
Fortunately, there are a good number of courses to improve our technique and uncover the secrets behind the steering wheel and pedals, helping us improve our safety and making us aware that at 120 km/h, even though it may seem like a calm speed, we cannot afford even a single lapse in concentration. It is a shame that many of them turn out to be quite expensive, although your safety should not come down to price
The Ford brand celebrated the fourth edition of its “Ford, Conduce tu Vida” programme at the beginning of this June. This Ford course focuses on driving skills and, above all, on raising awareness of Road Safety. Participation is completely free and the only requirements are to hold a driving licence and be aged between 18 and 24.
The main objective of “Ford, Conduce tu Vida” is to reduce road accidents and to make young drivers realise what they are really responsible for when they sit behind the wheel of a car. For this reason, it seeks to raise awareness of the possible effects of using mobile phones and social media while driving, or getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol or drugs. It also improves the ability to manage speed according to each situation, as well as following distances.

In this edition, 900 young people took part in the programme organised by the brand with the oval, held in Alcobendas, north of the Spanish capital. And they were not only from Madrid. They travelled there from many parts of Spain, including Barcelona, Murcia, Castellón, Valencia, Cáceres, Ávila, Granada and Jaén.
With this fourth edition, more than 2,600 drivers have now taken part in the Ford Spain editions to improve their safety and that of other road users.
Ford also has an online platform with instructional videos covering different aspects and situations we may encounter on the various types of road.
