Ford in America will have WiFi on board with Sync

In America, Ford models come with the Sync system, a technology solution that mainly includes internet connectivity on board the vehicle. It has not yet reached the European market, but throughout 2010 it is said that it could be introduced on this continent. However, even before knowing this system, we are already behind: the second generation of Sync will turn the car into a wireless router.
Passengers in the vehicle will be able to browse the internet by connecting to its wireless network if we plug the appropriate USB modem into the car’s USB port. This will create a WiFi access point protected by WPA2 encryption (commonly used in homes), and through keys we will connect to our own vehicle.
Here in Europe and in Spain, accessing the internet via mobile is still somewhat expensive , and it is not very widespread among the population, unlike the USA where prices for this service are much more affordable. This Sync system, when it is introduced in a few years, will have to be accompanied by a drop in the price of connectivity, something we have been observing for some time but which must continue to strengthen even further.
Online mobility is gradually taking hold, with ever more affordable rates (despite being some distance from other markets) and more reasonable and widespread solutions. At some point along the way we will have the possibility of connecting while walking down the street, and more and more establishments offer this connectivity to their users, either paid or free with a purchase.
