Ford Lifesavers pays tribute to healthcare workers in its first chapter
The Ford Transit is the first star of the Ford Lifesavers series. Want to know why?

Ford Lifesavers is a video series through which the oval brand pays special tribute to the thousands of professionals and volunteers who help others in their everyday lives, whether driving through the streets to provide medical assistance, rescuing those stranded on the mountain, or even entering a burning building. The first instalment was filmed in Valencia in collaboration with Ambulancias Edetanas.
In this first episode, special emphasis is placed on emergency medical technician Sarai Granell and the Ford Transit. Each episode of the Ford Lifesavers series explores the motivations that drive the protagonists to do what they do. It also illustrates the challenges they face under pressure and what those challenges mean to them.

Ford Lifesavers, a series of heroes
The first complete video in the series was filmed in Valencia and follows Sarai Granell during one of her night shifts. The next five episodes were filmed across Europe and, according to the brand itself, “will show the incredible spirit and dedication of rescue workers in the Czech Republic, France, the United Kingdom, Slovenia and Germany”.
These heroes do not work alone, and Ford supports them in their daily work with vehicles capable of handling anything, such as the Ford Ranger and the Ford Transit. The oval brand has stated that “they are the essential tools that help European emergency services carry out their incredible work”.

It is important to highlight that there are more than 10,000 Ford commercial vehicles in Europe, as they form the backbone of emergency services. The brand has noted that “Ford and its body-builder partners offer an enormous variety of commercial vehicles to help with any task. The options are practically endless”.
In each episode, the Ford team’s cameras have captured the daily challenges faced by the protagonists of Ford Lifesavers. These are the chapters of the series:
- Ambulance service in Valencia, Spain, 31 May.
- Water rescue in the Czech Republic, 21 June.
- Derby Mountain Rescue, United Kingdom, 12 July.
- Marseille fire service, France, 2 August.
- Slovenian fire service, 23 August.
- Bavarian Red Cross, Germany.
Peter Zillig, marketing director of Ford Europe, has stated that “we are proud to have this opportunity to celebrate the inspiring courage, selflessness and skill that these incredible heroes show every day. The remarkable commitment they show to their communities resonates with Ford’s own values, and made this project something we were passionate about bringing to life. We hope we have done justice to their bravery and dedication”.
