The market for light commercial vehicles intended for last-mile delivery has grown considerably over recent months. The growth in demand for products bought online has made this segment expand dramatically, and brands are innovating at a remarkable pace. The new Iveco Daily arrives on the Spanish market with updated connectivity solutions designed to interact with the driver efficiently.

To improve driver efficiency, the new Iveco Daily features the Iveco Driver Pal system, developed together with Amazon Web Services, which uses the voice commands of Alexa Amazon. With this system, the driver can connect to Iveco On’s connected services and interact with the vehicle itself and the community of drivers.

This is managed through the MYCOMMUNITY function, which includes other drivers, so the driver can communicate and request advice or directions to avoid traffic jams and other problems. The system uses an automatic translator, so language is not an obstacle when drivers communicate with one another.

New Air-Pro intelligent suspension

To make daily work easier, the Air-Pro intelligent suspension has been incorporated. It continuously adapts to usage needs and makes various adjustments to the suspension to improve the vehicle’s handling. In addition, the Air-Pro intelligent suspension can be adjusted across three driving modes.

Soft mode prioritises comfort, while Load mode provides better handling and stability with a full load. Auto mode sets automatic parameters according to needs. Furthermore, the suspension can lower the ride height to make loading and unloading tasks easier.

The Air-Pro system is activated and controlled by a dedicated rotary dial on the control panel and very intuitive icons on the central multimedia screen.

Comfort and efficiency

The driver and passengers can be comfortable on board this van thanks to the new seats with central and headrest cushions made of viscoelastic foam, which improve comfort.

As for engines, two options are offered. The first is a 2.3-litre F1A engine, available in versions with outputs ranging from 116 to 156.5 CV. The other is a 3.0-litre F1C with outputs from 160 to 207 CV. Both engines have reduced consumption compared with previous models and incorporate a new 6-speed manual gearbox.

In addition, a version is available with a 3.0-litre engine running on CNG, delivering 136 CV and 350 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the versatility and capacity of the Iveco Daily remain at their best, so it continues to be a benchmark in light and last-mile transport.
