Ford Start Concept, which sounds like a global Ka

At the Beijing Motor Show we were lucky enough to see the new Ford Start Concept, a prototype of a Ford for the urban world that sounds very much like the global Ka. According to the North American company by 2050, 70% of the population will live in urban areas and this car will be designed for them.
With a length of 3.68 metres, a width of 1.69 metres and a height of 1.41 metres, the Ford Star will undoubtedly be an extremely manoeuvrable vehicle. The dimensions are remarkably similar to those of the current Ford Ka, which suggests it may be the forerunner of a successor.
The Start was designed in California, and one of the aspects given most consideration was the use of lightweight materials such as aluminium. Furthermore, recycling has been another key factor in building the vehicle, so that its impact on the environment is minimal.
Ford has not yet disclosed the exact engine capacity, but it has announced that it could deliver the performance of a 1.6-litre engine , which would give us output of between 100 and 120 CV. More than sufficient. In addition, emissions would be very low, around 100 grams of CO2 per kilometre driven.
