Travelling is always a pleasure, although you have to think about how to do it in style and with all the services within easy reach. Converting a commercial van into a motorhome is not as complicated as it may seem, although it is certainly a rather expensive change that can come with a considerable surcharge. That said, the result can be like this Ford Transit Custom, which was requested by a British buyer and carried out by MS-RT and Wellhouse Leisure.

The Ford Transit has received a body kit that turns the exterior of the van into something sportier, with a different look that aims to make the exterior stand out from any other version of the Ford Transit. A dual exhaust has also been fitted, which gives it even more personality and makes it sound different and more powerful. 18-inch alloy wheels complete the external look, all under the MS-RT signature.

On the inside, Wellhouse Leisure was responsible for the interior. To give it that touch, the aim was to create a motorhome feel. A white leather with blue stitching has been used, and the logo has been added to the front seat headrests in blue, the same colour found on the seat belts.

At the rear is where the heart of the camper van design lies. A full kitchen has been installed, where you can cook comfortably, and a living area where you can enjoy that meal in even greater comfort. The bedroom, located in the roof of the van, allows you to rest and enjoy outdoor getaways without any hassle.

Among the decorative elements in this Ford Transit Custom Camper is a Starlite Alcantara roof, which has light points that mimic stars, plus Alcantara in other areas of the vehicle’s interior.

As for technology, this Ford Transit Custom Camper conversion features satellite navigation, adaptive cruise control and xenon headlights. In terms of engine, it uses the 2.0-litre EcoBlue diesel engine which delivers 170 CV to the package. That said, I mentioned it carries a considerable cost, and in this case the van reaches 85,800 euros. It is something to think about, but considering the hours of fun and the kilometres it can offer, perhaps it is not so much.
