FV Frangivento has announced its intention to present the newest member of its family. It is the FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci supercar, and its debut will take place at the National Automobile Museum in Turin, specifically on May 30.

The Italian manufacturer is keeping all the details secret, but some images suggest that the FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci will be a very extravagant-looking supercar with a large windshield that flows into the hood. The brand’s teasers also show an alleged air intake on the roof, rear stabilizer fins and large side panels.

The Italian brand’s supercar has a wedge shape and some muscular air intakes. In addition, the image shows a four-outlet exhaust system. Other details include slim light clusters and a series of nods to its already legendary Italian heritage.

Some sources claim that the FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci will have a hybrid engine capable of producing around 1,010 hp. Details are very limited, but these sources indicate that the model will have a turbocharged petrol engine driving the rear wheels.

This powertrain will be accompanied by two electric motors that will drive the front wheels. This configuration will give the model all-wheel drive and more power than one of its direct rivals, the Ferrari 812 Superfast. The new FV Frangivento hybrid supercar will be an evolution of the FV Frangivento Asfanè Concept that debuted at the Turin Motor Show of 2016.

The Italian hybrid supercar will be built on a modular aluminium platform, and its chassis will be made of aluminium and carbon fibre. Notably, this impressive supercar will be handmade.

As the images suggest, the FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci is not yet ready for production. Instead, the model is being billed as a production prototype which, according to the manufacturer, opens a “new chapter in the history of FV Frangivento”.

FV Frangivento Asfanè DieciDieci, a dream come true

The Italian hybrid supercar was born as the dream of the founders of FV Frangivento, Giorgio Pirolo and Paolo Mancini. The Concept presented in Turin was developed on “a fully Italian platform, challenging the major players of the global automotive industry”.

The brand was founded in 2015, and its name comes from an operational network that includes Pirelli, Sparco, Brembo, OZ Racing and AM Construction Models. As Giorgio Pirolo has previewed, “FV Frangivento has the freedom of the new, and with the Asfanè we put all the freshness and provocation that this condition allows us to make. I am proud to bring to life the creature I sketched along the way. A dream of high environmental performance and entirely Italian, becoming reality. I dedicate it to all the young people who have an idea in a drawer and spend a lifetime trying to achieve it”.

Paolo Mancini, for his part, stated that “with this first production prototype, we open a new chapter in the history of FV Frangivento. It is a dream car in every sense. For us it is because it represents the realisation of a dream. However, it is also proof that entrepreneurs who know how to build systems can express themselves at high levels”.
